Ideal for the two stages of injury rehab - regeneration and re-modelling.
The regeneration phase (7-21 days post-injury) is where the tissue fibres are being re-built and replaced at a rapid pace. At this stage, it's more appropriate to work lightly and mobilise the area directly, working more deeply to the surrounding areas, with the intention to reduce swelling and improve blood flow.
The re-modelling phase (21-60 days post-injury) is where we can work more directly on the site of injury to remodel the scar tissue and break down any unhelpful adhesive tethers which may limit mobility.
For optimal rehab assistance, we suggest weekly treatments for a total of 7 weeks. This type of massage covers: * muscles * tendons * ligaments * bands of fascia eg itb, achilles, thoracolumbar fascia (lower back)
